Providing Earth Moving Expertise on the Kenai Peninsula Since 1968
OUR HISTORY
Perhaps better known in the contracting field as COOK INLET CONSTRUCTION, the Company was founded in 1968 as a Partnership, with Jesse W. and Nina A. Robinson, husband and wife, teaming up with their long-time friend, Morris Coursen. The business was incorporated in 1983 to accommodate the inclusion of Jesse and Nina’s son, Dean Robinson, and provide a seamless path of succession into the future. Today, the CIC, Inc. is owned and operated by Dean Robinson and his partners: Daughter and Son-In-Law, Celina Robinson and Jeremy Brantley.
Road Construction has been the major focus of the Company throughout its existence, but the same equipment capabilities and operator skills lend themselves very well to virtually all aspects of the earthmoving field. In the decade of the 70’s, subdivision development was predominant, giving way to public road and airport projects in the 80’s. The 90’s proved to be the decade of logging, and the Company saw its fastest period of growth to-date during that decade, constructing over 250 miles of logging roads, both here on the Kenai Peninsula and at remote locations from Ketchikan to Shoal Cove and Zarembo Island in the Southeast Panhandle of the state. The 1st decade of the new millennium brought yet another change for the Company - Oil & Gas Exploration and Development.
The majority of work recently has been from Local Government contracts along with site prep (commercial and residential).
